Its complex history

Few adjectives might be more appropriate than "complex" to define the nature of the history of this great game of cards, which has earned a privileged place in the hearts of players from all over the world but not of the night morning, but quite the opposite. Try counting in an objective and accurate history of poker, is a task that can not be done but it is through a thorough investigation.

Anyway, revealing the dynamic and evolving nature of a game that has been confirmed over the years, even centuries a constant mutation and that looks completely foreign to any concept of static and inert.

Then, as mentioned, the first poker history appears in the ancient culture of China, more precisely in the tenth century, where an emperor named Mu-Tsung, practiced with his wife and in a ritual, a game with cards that today is considered as the great grandfather of modern poker, which in turn holds a strong resemblance to the modern version of poker known as Pai Gow.

The fate of poker then appears quite diffuse, but it is believed that somehow the game comes to India and Persia where it also undergoes changes and takes on a certain way to his current destination.

Later, during the fifteenth century, forming the game first appeared on European soil, where it was practiced under the name "Poque", "Pochen" and "First", in France, Germany and Spain, respectively.

In this primitive version of modern poker, the game was already practiced in 52-card deck that is extracted from the British and handed out three cards for each participant. Subsequently, in the hands of the French emigrants traveling to play the new world and landed in the land of New Orleans, to embark again, this time to navigate the waters of the famous river Misissippi where now it is the way to what is today.

In those ships, the game took a massive character and acquired substantially certain elements that are some of the most characteristic of the current game, such as the Color and Straight Flush. Ultimately it is in Las Vegas, where the game comes to the neon light today, and is also early twentieth century, which are generated spontaneously, the various modern versions of it as Texas Hold'em, Omaha and 7 Card Stud.
